CareRecords connects public provider records to filed ownership associations, organizes records by place and care type, and calculates clearly labelled descriptive comparisons. We provide questions to help readers investigate a record. We do not conduct inspections, give clinical endorsements or collect patient reviews.
Before publication, automated checks compare provider identities, displayed measures, ownership joins and enforcement records with downloaded source files. These checks verify our transformation of those files; they do not independently establish the truth of every government filing or constitute clinical review of every page.
We do not replace missing values with zero, infer ownership from a name match, or interpret an absent record as a clean bill of health. Snapshot and observation dates have different meanings. A newly built page does not make an old measurement current.
The CareRecords site operator maintains the data transformation and publication process. Send the page URL, provider identifier, disputed field and relevant official source to data@carerecords.org. We investigate against the source within five business days. A transcription, linkage or display error on our site can be corrected even if the underlying official file has not changed. Disputes with the underlying filing must also be raised with the publishing agency.
Facilities cannot pay for favourable placement, removal of records or referrals. Advertising has no role in our comparisons. Provider records, the shortlist tool, source coverage and policy pages do not load our AdSense advertising script. Any advertising on eligible editorial guides is separate from the records.
Methodology explains the data model. Data coverage identifies the loaded files and date limitations. We make no promise that a profile establishes the best provider for a particular person.
